As an old (ancient?) developer of 30 plus years, I can identify very well with your article. Thanks for writing this and keep up the good work. Your bosses/managers rely on your honesty (at least the good, competent ones do). They will appreciate it if you can back it up with details about why it can’t be done. The worst thing you can do as a software developer is to surprise your team at the last minute. Best of luck in your career! You’re on the right path my brother.
